// Night of Worship
So this has been a long time coming and i finally made time to write about it. It seems like things are always picking up here and there is never enough down time. A little while ago Fellowship put on a huge Night of Worship, which was cool being able to play in the student ministry’s Night of Worship and then turn around and help out with the big church-wide Night of Worship. And i feel like i’ve used Night of Worship a little excessively already. Sorry about that stylistic screwup.
i was put in charge of setting and running the light cues, which has almost become my area of specialty in the Worship & Arts team. We planned out what we would have to do to flip the stage design and right after our last church service we set the stage which included hanging scrim (thin sheer-like sheets), hanging china light globes and putting up raw bulb stripes from the ceiling of the stage. It ended up looking great.
The night itself went so well. All four worship leaders as well as all three teaching pastors led the event and it went for about an hour and a half. A ton of people showed up and the body was ministered to in a tremendous way. At one point we took the Lord’s Supper and it was done in such a cool way. There were six tables set up around the room almost like stations. Whenever you wanted you could go as a family or small group and take communion together. The worship leaders loved it and their band was phenomenal which freed them up to lead without having to worry about them messing up. There was nothing but positive feedback from the people who ended up coming which encouraged everyone to have another event soon. It was an incredible night of worship…that was a much better usage!
